Hybrid boating can save you money
Electric boating. Everyone has heard of it, and everyone knows something about it. And then there is also hybrid boating. But how does that actually work? What are the possibilities for my vessel? And what are the costs if I want to convert my current boat to electric or hybrid boating?

Especially the answer to the last question is a shock for many people. Converting your boat and making it ready for electric sailing can easily cost thousands of euros! However, this overlooks the fact that there are many roads that lead to Rome. The system that we use for electric propulsion of your boat is reliable, flexible, and very favorable in terms of price. And this without monthly or other hidden costs.

With hybrid sailing you can still use your current engine. However, we place a new electric motor next to the existing (outboard) engine, which can then be used independently of each other. Often, with our special coupling piece, it is also possible to connect to the existing steering wheel. Steering direction and speed can then be controlled with the same ease and on the same console. And while using the outboard engine, the batteries of the electric motor can even be charged! In many municipalities you get a considerable discount on the mooring fee (sailing sticker) in the case of a hybrid drive. So you can save a lot with hybrid sailing. Contact us about this and ask about the possibilities.

Sailing on solar energy
In addition to installing an electric or hybrid drive, we can also provide the boat with solar panels according to the needs of everyone's use. In other words, the availability of power without being dependent on charging points or other forms of shore power. No more hassle and dragging with batteries. Can you also see the convenience of this addition? Solar panels can also be used perfectly in combination with electric sailing. So you too can sail on solar energy! And in case you are afraid of an empty battery, the system can also be installed while retaining your current outboard motor.

Are you interested, but would you like to take a test drive first to see if it is something for you? Do not hesitate and contact us for an appointment: info@bossboating.nl
